About the Author
Dr. Alan Goldstein is Professor of Psychology at John Jay College of Criminal Justice - CUNY and is a widely recognized expert and speaker on forensic issues. He is a Diplomate in Forensic Psychologist of the American Board of Professional Psychology and a Fellow of the American Academy of Forensic Psychology. He serves as an expert witness for defense and prosecuting attorneys on the state and federal levels, where his work includes evaluations for validity of Miranda rights waivers, trial competence, criminal sentencing, issues related to criminal responsibility, death penalty litigation, and future risk of violence. He is also a consultant to a number of law enforcement agencies.

Greatly Needed for Forensic Psychology

I have a Master of Arts in Forensic Psychology and this is one book I am glad I purchased. I have used this book several times since graduating in 2011 for references. Mr. Goldstein once again provides outstanding information and references. I recommend this book to others and I will definitely order from this seller again.

Decent book, LARGE, takes up your shelf and/or book bag, heavy - but provides limited but broad information

Massive book. This book is as large as the DSM and covers dozens of topics. In some ways the information is too broad, but it provides a solid basis. The articles on serial offenders is limited, so you will not learn much in the way of "Silence of the Lambs" if that is why you were considering. A forensic psychology academic requirement in most cases, a bit overrated for me.

A rare textbook that's worth the expense!

So many of these are poorly written or just another rehash of the same old stuff. This book is a great collection of need to know information arriving on the horizon.
